What we hold, and what we never ask for

Version 1.0 — effective September 19, 2026. Written against the app's actual database, field by field.

We never ask for your Social Security number. Not at sign-up, not for proof, not ever. If anything claiming to be WorkedMy80 asks for one, it is not us.

We are not your state agency, and nothing you put here goes to your state unless you send it yourself.

What we collect

All of it comes from you. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Your account

WhatWhy
Phone numberIt is how you sign in. We have no passwords.
Your state and which programs you are on (Medicaid, SNAP, or both)To show you the right rules, deadlines and phone numbers.
Your languageTo show the app in it.
Your renewal date, if you know itIt is what the reminders count down to.
Whether you are exempt, and the reasonSo we stop asking you for hours you do not owe.
The last four digits of a case or Medicaid ID, only if you choose to enter itTo help you match a letter to your case. It is encrypted on your phone before it reaches us, and we never store a full ID.

Your hours

The date, the kind of activity (work, school, training, volunteering, or income where your state allows income instead), how many hours or how much income, optionally the employer and a note.

Your proof and your letters

Photographs of pay stubs, timesheets, letters and enrollment confirmations that you choose to upload, plus what our reader pulled out of them: hours, dates, employer, and for a letter, what it means and its deadline. Nothing is counted toward your hours until you confirm it is right.

Reminders

What reminder is due, when, whether it was sent, and whether it failed.

Crash reports

When the app breaks we receive a technical report about the failure. It does not contain your hours, your photographs or your letters.

Who else processes it

We keep this list short on purpose. All four are bound by their own contracts to process this only for us.

WhoWhat they do
SupabaseStores the database and your uploaded images, on servers in the United States.
Google FirebaseSends the code that signs you in, and delivers push reminders.
GroqReads your pay stubs and letters to pull out hours, dates and deadlines.
SentryReceives crash reports.

What we do not do

Who can see your data

You. The database is configured so that every record carries an owner and can only be read by that owner, and your uploaded files sit in a private bucket keyed to your account. That rule is enforced by the database itself, not by the app asking nicely.

A small number of our staff can reach the underlying systems for support and maintenance. We look at your records only when you ask us to, or when we have to in order to fix a fault or meet a legal obligation.

How long we keep it

Your hours and proof are the record you may need at renewal, so we keep them while your account is open. Proof of a month you have already renewed past is still worth keeping until documentation rules settle in 2028, so we do not delete it automatically. You can delete any single entry, photograph or letter at any time.

Deleting everything

There is a delete button in the app. It removes your account and, with it, every hours entry, every photograph, every decoded letter and every reminder. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. You do not have to email anyone or explain why.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Residents of California and other states with their own privacy laws have these rights by statute, and we give them to everyone. Write to privacy@workedmy80.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

The app is for adults subject to these rules. It is not designed for, or directed at, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Messages we send you

At launch, reminders arrive as push notifications. If we later add text-message reminders, they will be something you switch on, with clear wording about what you are agreeing to, and you will be able to stop them by replying STOP. We will not text you marketing.

When this changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
